Tavistock
Square is one of the numerous parks around Bloomsbury and
is located just a short walk from the office. It is a popular
place for lunch breaks among students and office employees
from the surrounding schools and colleges. The Square was
designed by Thomas Cubitt at the beginning of 19th century.
The following sculptures are present in the park: Mahatma
Gandhi, Virginia Woolf and Louisa Aldrige-Blake. There is
also a cherry tree that was planted to commemorate the victims
of the nuclear bombing in Hiroshima. |
