The
following information was taken directly from Brunel University's
printed postgraduate prospectus.
"This
course will combine modules in automotive and motorsport
engineering to develop graduates who are well equipped
with the knowledge and skills to work in the multi-disciplinary
field typically encountered in the automotive and motorsport
engineering industry. The programme will help students
develop the imaginative and creative skills necessary
for a successful career in this field both at national
and international levels. The course will allow students
the option of specialising in automotive engineering or
motorsport engineering.
A particular feature is the group project. Groups of between
four and six students carry out a project that involves
the design, manufacture, assembly and testing a single-seater
racing vehicle that will take part in the national Formula
Student Competition that takes place in July every year.
