"The
role of the packaging technologist is a demanding one,
requiring knowledge of materials, processing, design,
quality and environmental trends. It needs the skills
of project management, marketing and team leadership.
A packaging technologist has to develop packaging that
meets the needs of many, sometimes conflicting, groups,
end users, retailers, packers, manufacturers, designers,
converters, 'green' pressure groups.
This course aims to produce high calibre packaging technologists
and mangers who have the vision and flexibility to create
opportunities and to solve problems effectively.
