Course Content
The Psychology course at Brunel ensure you gain an understanding
of the breadth and diversity of the discipline but with
the opportunity to specialise as you discover areas that
particularly interest you. We emphasise the everyday and
real-life significance of psychology by encouraging you
to explore the relationship between the practical and
theoretical aspects of the subject both through your academic
study and your work placements.
At Level 1 you will tackle psychological issues in a multidisciplinary
context. At Level 2, modules cover the core areas of the
discipline including the cognitive, social, abnormal and
developmental psychology. You also study a broad range
of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
The majority of your options at level 3 will be in psychology
but you may choose some from other associated disciplines.
Work placements
Work placements in the four-year sandwich route give you
the opportunity to experience psychology in practice.
