"The
evolution of wireless communication systems and networks
in recent years has been explosive and commercial organisations
need to recruit personnel equipped with a blend of technical
and managerial skills in the emerging technologies in
networks and wireless systems. There has been a growing
overlap of the network and communication industries, from
component fabrication to system integration, and the development
of integrated systems that transmit and process all types
of data and information. This distinctive course, not
taught anywhere else in the UK, aims to develop a detailed
technical knowledge of current practice in wireless systems
and networks. You will benefit from both a theoretical
and practical grounding due to the the availability of
a fully working wireless laboratory in the School.
