following information was taken directly from Fraser International
College prospectus.
"FIC offers a one semester (4 month) Study Abroad
Program for students who are interested in a short-term
international academic experience. Students in the FIC
Study Abroad Program have full access to all of the Simon
Fraser University facilities and services including on-campus
accommodation, libraries, computer labs, recreation facilities,
and career services.
Upon successful completion of the Study Abroad Program
students have the option to continue to complete the full
FIC Pre University program (UTPI) or University Level
program (UTPII). Students who successfully complete the
UTPII program and who have the appropriate GPA, would
be eligible to transfer to Year 2 of Simon Fraser University's
bachelor degree programs with advanced standing.
Pre-University Level Study Abroad Programs
Academic Program
FIC's Pre-University Study Abroad Program prepares students
for entry into university level studies. Students choose
up to four introductory courses in subjects such as Business,
Communication, Mathematics and Computing.
Academic & English Language Program
The Academic & English Language Program combines full
time English language study (15 hours per week) with up
to two pre-university academic courses.
University Level Study Abroad Programs
Academic Program
The courses in the University Level Study Abroad Program
are equivalent to the first year of Simon Fraser University
degree program courses. Students choose up to four academic
courses from a variety of offerings in the field of Business
Administration, computing Science and/or Arts & Social
Sciences.
Academic & English Language Program
The Academic & English Language Program combines full
time English language study (15 hours per week) with up
to two university level academic courses."

For students who have English Language scores below 5.0
can apply for the "PAS" program. "PAS is
an SFU program which provides English language training
for university-bound international students who have achieved
an IELTS score of 4.5 or equivalent. PAS in English classes
are also held on the Burnaby campus of SFU so students
will enjoy the experience of studying English in one of
Canada's top universities, with access to the facilities
there. If students complete the PAS program they will
be eligible to enter Fraser International College without
any further English tests."
