Electro Mechanical Systems Design
BEng (Hons)/MEng-University of Glamorgan

The following information was taken directly from the University of Glamorgan's printed undergraduate prospectus."Electro-mechanical systems design combines the design of electrical systems, control and IT with applied mechanisms, including robotics. You should choose these courses if you want a career as a professional engineer. They have been put forward for accreditation by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and combine technical, engineering and mathematical skills with ICT, management and finance.

The BEng can be taken as a three-year course or a four year sandwich course. The MEng is designed for the more able student. It is a five year postgraduate sandwich award, with the third year spent in industrial training. You will enrol on a combined BEng/MEng first year. Preliminary selection to MEng is based on academic achievement in year one modules, with final selection by examination and interview at the end of year two, so you don't have to fully commit to the MEng until the start of year three.
