"In
the 21st century, internationalisation of the fashion
industry continues unabated. From value retailers to middle-market
fashion leaders and luxury designer brands, the international
activities of fashion companies continue to be the focus
of attention for consumers worldwide. With supply chains
getting ever faster and trends constantly changing, responding
to this changing global marketplace is a major ongoing
challenge.
This programme, the first of its kind in Wales, offers
an academically challenging and practically relevant approach
to fashion marketing in an international context. You
will gain a solid grounding in the key areas of contemporary
fashion marketing management and an introduction to leading-edge
concepts and ideas that are relevant to the modern marketplace.
The MSc draws on the extensive practical and academic
knowledge of our staff, so you will benefit from our extensive
research activity in these areas.

This is a full-time one year program
How
you will study
You will benefit from a business school environment at
our Treforest campus as well as the cutting-edge creativity
of our ATRiuM campus in Cardiff. You will learn through
lectures, seminars, group work, case studies and analyses
of contemporary fashion marketing materials, as well as
specialist guest lectures from leading industry professionals.
Assessment is assignment-based, so you can explore each
subject in depth to develop your critical and analytical
skills. The final requirement is a dissertation or business
research project where you will examine an aspect of international
fashion marketing in depth. The course also includes potential
for a site visit to a centre of world fashion. If you
already have marketing qualification such as the CIM Postgraduate
Professional Diploma, you may be exempt from taking one
or more taught modules.
