"Geology
is the study of the Earth: its origin, structure, composition,
history and the physical, chemical and biological process
that have formed it. This course will provide you with
a sound background in geology, develop an understanding
of scientific principles and how to apply them to geological
questions and problems. It also incorporates aspects of
natural resource identification and exploitation, together
with associated environmental concerns, geohazard analysis
and engineering geology.
