course is designed to provide you withe the up-to-date
skills, knowledge and understanding you need to manage
people effectively at work. it will be especially useful
if you are seeking a career in this area or have recently
entered a personnel or line management role. The Chartered
Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) has accredited
this course and successful completion confers Graduate
Membership of the CIPD.

How will you study
Stage one and Stage two
You will spend approximately 15 hours per week in classes,
plus a further day on placement in a local organisation
each week during term-time. Part of this arrangement will
involve a two-week block in January. Learning will also
take place through private study, directed learning and
further activity in the workplace.
Master Dissertation Stage
You will focus your attention on a specific area of human
resource interest through investigation by personal research.
There will be at least one assessed assignment and/or
exam in each of the taught modules.
