“While
concerns about the growing 'obesogenic' worldwide culture
continue to hit the headlines, the role of physical activity
and good nutrition as forms of preventative medicine are
increasingly being recognised as key ways to tackle this
issue. This programme explores the association between
our diet and lifestyle and the impact that it has on health.
You learn the practical skills needed to identify strategies
that could improve public health.

First Year
You are introduced to the study of human nutrition, anatomy,
exercise physiology, psychology and health sociology,
as well as a variety of research skills necessary for
successful completion of your degree. In addition, you
will undertake practicals and workshops in both nutritional
and fitness assessment.
Second and Third Year
In the upper years, you can choose from the wide range
of modules, allowing you to specifically focus on areas
of particular interest to you or retain a breadth to your
study throughout your programme.
Special Features
Graduates can apply to the Nutrition Society to become
a Registered Associate Nutritionist. The highly qualified
and experienced staff includes state-registered dieticians,
registered nutritionist and British Association of Sport
and Exercise Sciences- accredited practitioners in exercise
physiology and psychology. Classroom instruction is complemented
by state-of-the-art food and microbiology laboratories
and the best-equipped exercise physiology teaching laboratories
in the Greater London area. ”
